How do agency fees work?
Carers & Companions act as the employer and we retain the carers on our payroll.
The agency pays all wages, taxation, superannuation, insurances, payroll costs, workers compensation etc. and invoices clients weekly.
This ensures that neither you nor your family are at risk from “cash” or “work in return for accommodation” situations where carers may be deemed by law to be financially dependent on you and have a legal right to make a claim on your estate.
How do we keep in touch?
We want our service to be the best we can provide, you will have access 24/7 to our Care Coordinator.
We take a personal interest in you and your carer, visiting the homes of our clients regularly to keep up to date. This means we can respond quickly to any changes and developments.
A daily diary is kept at the house and can be viewed by family at any time. The Carer will document daily activities, outings, meals eaten and medication given. All progress documentation is completed on time to strict legal and compliance standards.

Is there a wait list to get in?
On occasion we are at maximum capacity due to the demand for our premium service. However, we aim to ensure that all our customers are looked after and go out of our way to meet the needs of new customers too.
When do we step in?
- When you or your parents need regular visits or companionship
- When family members live overseas, interstate or in the country
- When you or your parents need ‘safe escort’
- When you wish to travel for business or pleasure, and need to know an experienced carer is looking after your parents
Our carers are expert at helping with recovery:
- When post-operative help is required following a serious operation
- When assistance with convalescence and respite care at home is needed following a hospital stay
- When in hospital a little extra supervision and assistance is needed in addition to the regular nursing and medical staff on duty
- When family members leave rehabilitation and need extra help from now on at home
- When the primary carer, Wife, Husband or Daughter is in need of respite care themselves
Do you offer trial periods?
When it comes time to consider full-time care how do you decide the best solution? Making the right decision has a long-term impact – move to a care facility or stay at home with a live-in carer?
Why not give a short term live-in care solution a try? It is:
- Easy to set up
- Cost effective
- Non committal
It might be something that will work in the longer term as an alternative to a care facility.
